With our little munchkin scheduled to make his appearance sometime in the next 2-3 weeks, we are scrambling to find a home for our dog, Juneau. Please, please contact me if you or someone you know would be interested in giving her a loving home. Here are her details:
She is a 6yo Shepherd mix weighing about 45 pounds. She is a sweet dog who we have loved very much for the past 5 years. She has some fear based aggression, which comes out around some other dogs. She needs to be in a home with no other dogs, and we can't keep her because our other female dog has started fighting with her. (She gets along fine with our male dog, but it'd be best if she was in a single-dog home). We have tried everything to mend their relationship, including sending them both off for two weeks of intense training. Their relationship has been rocky since then, and we just don't think they'll be able to forget their past problems. Unfortunately, we just can't keep dealing with this with a newborn around. We have never feared for our own safety around her, and she likes people, but for some reason she can't get along with some other dogs. She knows the commands sit, stay, down, off, is housebroken, and will go in a crate when told to. Her favorite activities are cuddling on the couch, chewing on rawhides, and practicing her training. She is fixed and micro-chipped, and current on all her vaccinations. She'd probably do best in a house with a backyard, or in a home where she isn't left alone for 8+ hours every day (if she doesn't have outside access during that time). It is not easy for me to come to this decision and have to find another home for her, because I've loved her dearly for the past 5 years. She would be a great guard dog and companion for someone. If you are interested, or know of a good home for her in the DFW area, please let us know. Here are some pictures:
